What is a Golden Mountain Doodle?Golden Mountain Doodles are a newer designer breed recognized with the CKC. They are a hybrid between a Standard Poodle, Golden Retriever and a Bernese Mountain Dog. These pups are a cross between a F1 Bernedoodle and a F1 Goldendoodle, making them a F2 Golden Mountain Doodle.

How Big Will They Get?They will generally be 50 lbs or larger and around 23 to 29 inches at the shoulder. Most standards are in the 70 to 85 lb range.

Do They Shed, How Hypoallergenic Are They?Golden Mountain Doodles have a low-shedding coat and are generally considered to be more hypoallergenic than most dog breeds. However, their shedding activity may vary depending on the varieties.

What Are Their Coats Like?Here are some differences between the different types of Golden Mountain Doodles: Curly: The most hypoallergenic of the three types, with tight curls and a soft texture. Curly coats should be brushed daily and trimmed frequently. Wavy: Low-to non-shedding, with a lightly kinked or wavy appearance. Most people with allergies to dog dander are fine with a wavy-coated dog. Straight: Very silky and soft, almost like velvet.

What Is Their Temperament Like?Golden Mountain Doodles have inherited the best traits of their parents. They are kind, loving, and intelligent, ideal as a playful companion for kids of all ages. They're also incredibly loyal, making them great protectors of their homes and loved ones. They very easy to train and are eager to please. They do best with plenty of room to play and plenty of activity.

What Colors Are Their Fur?Golden Mountain Doodles have differing amounts of black, tan and white in their coats. Ours are mainly black with some white and tan mixed in either in spots or or throughout the coat.

What Health Issues Do They Have?While golden mountain doodles tend to be healthier than their parent breeds, they can still be prone to conditions such as hip and elbow dysplasia being a larger breed. All puppies have their shots and immunizations as well as a general health inspection from a veterinarian before they are released to their new families.

How Much Do They Cost?We have a variety of prices depending on coats, colors and whether or not you are available to pick up the puppies or if you need them delivered to you. Typically, for a tri-color we would ask $3000. For a bi-color $2500 and for a solid color $2000. We can help make arrangements if transportation is needed. All puppies come with CKC registration papers showing their heritage and lineage, proof of vaccinations and a clean bill of health. We also send a blanket scented from their mother to help with transition to their new furever home.
